about
I do not think there was ever a time I was not creating. Ever since I was a little girl, I was surrounded by art in various forms and, before I had realized it, it had become part of my life. It was part of my playing process too. I could not play dolls and not come up with a complicated story, or one with massive worldbuilding. I could not listen to music without coming up with a music video on the spot, which I would then write down and make a cd jacket and booklet out of it. I liked acting out as my favorite characters, writing fanfiction for my favorite videogames, cartoons and series, dance, sing along and make fanvideos of my favorite songs. For me, when it came to arts, only the sky was the limit. Yet my mind was set by age 9; I wanted to make music videos.

It was perfect for me. I could write, direct and edit, all my favorite ways of expression in one job, with music guiding the way, which was and still is my favorite artform in the world. Rather odd, is it not? For a music enthusiast, I should have pursued it the musician way. That never worked for me, though. I am more of a visual person. By age 14, I had become comfortable with video editing, however the limitations of using already edited content bothered me. With original content not being an option, as neither my country ever inspired me, nor my friends wished to help with making something original, I chose to focus on becoming better with what I had and have plenty of material ready for realization for when my university days would finally come.

By age 18, I had written exactly 100 music video scripts, I had prepared several drawings and edits, and one video for my portfolio. I was accepted in one of the three universities I had applied for. But money got in the way. There was no way I could afford studying abroad and my dreams were shuttered. My country had no place for artists like it once did, it still doesn't, and it felt like there was no place to turn to and nothing to live for. I did not want to create anymore. But through the darkness, and coming across a specific subculture of Japan, I was able to stand back on my feet, as well as realize why only one of the universities I had applied for had accepted my application. If I was serious about arts, I had to become better.

I began writing my first book series in 2012, a few months after graduation, and finished by early 2013. I then proceeded to the next book, as well as kept trying to better my video editing. By 2013, however, Youtube's copyright restrictions grew tighter and with no original content and still heavily affected by my not being able to study what I wanted, I gave up on video editing.

In 2015, I managed to put any fears around harder programs aside and moved from Corel Photo-Paint to Photoshop. I could finally do original stuff. I could make actual good edits of my favorite artists that could serve as cd jackets. But again, copyrights. I had to only do originals and that did not sit well with me. This is why my portfolio lacks many pieces by the way. I had more fun making stuff around my favorite musicians, aka fanart, which, unfortunately, as I was taught early on, is not the kind of art you want on your portfolio, if you want a job.

In 2017 I started trying out the market. The competition, though, was massive. I managed to do a couple of projects for students in my country, and some graphics for fansites of other fans and my own, but other than that, I was forced to find a non-artistic job, on the side.

By 2020 I had given up on photomanipulation as well. It was obvious to me I was doing something wrong. So I kept on working on my book series and promoting it in writing communities, editing photos only every now and then, and those just as fanart.

In 2023, with vtubing being on the rise since 2020, I took my chances and started a channel. I thought well, if no one wants to help me make original videos, I will make videos of a character I will create, and if no one wishes to hire me for photomanipulations, I shall be doing it for my character, in various scenarios of games I'll be playing (I do that with thumbnails mostly).

And here we are today, with my full arsenal of skills back in the game, ready to take on your challenge. I still wish to learn more. I have been wanting to learn video graphics for a while, I might eventually get to that, and I'm currently re-trying drawing and illustration. With arts there is always room for more learning. ^^

My main focus in art is horror and fantasy, but I do play with other genres as well, as I do not enjoy limiting myself. Software-wise, I use Photoshop, Corel Draw, Corel Photo-Paint and Vegas Pro. Other things you might be interested to know, if you wish to work with me is that even though I talk a lot, I am a great listener, I am patient, a team-player when given the opportunity and knowledgeable in the music, movie and video game scene enough to understand most if not all of your references. ^^
